As founder of Israel’s Homeland Security Academy and Axiom Security and Management, Nir’s lifetime dedication to ensuring the safety of the State of Israel, includes a twenty-three year career with the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) and the Israeli National Security System where he served as the Director of the Combat and Security Academy, Regional Security Director in the Middle East, Europe and North Africa, Head of Aviation & Maritime Security Department, Head of Security Operations of EL AL Airlines, Commander of the National Sky Marshal Unit as well as Security Director for Israeli embassies, EL AL Airlines and shipping companies in both Spain and Portugal. As the head of Israel's Aviation and Maritime Security Department, Nir was responsible for updating and auditing the security protocol of Israel's Ben Gurion Airport and Israeli airliners among many other critical sites.
Nir holds a B.A. in Political Science and Public Administration and a Master's Degree in Geography and Large Scale Disaster Management from Haifa University in Israel.
Nir retired from the Israel Security Agency with the rank of Colonel and the Israeli Defense Forces as a Major and Company Commander, having fought in the Yom Kippur War.
